NEW!! Last year I had my first taste of gooseberry pie and it was a revelation and just might be my new favorite kind of pie. Usually I mix gooseberries in with a sweeter fruit in jams because it adds a fantastic zing to almost any sweeter fruit. But this year we had a lot of ripe gooseberries that we froze and I decided to try a plain gooseberry jam. It has (like the pie) really a fantastic tart-sweet flavor with the vibrancy of summer!
