Henry's Pears

from $5.00
Out of Stock

We call these Henry’s Pears because we grafted the tree from an old pear tree that was on Henry’s property when he bought it. We don’t know the variety, but it’s delicious and keeps well so we wanted to be sure to propagate it. Some of these pears will be unripe when you receive them, but they will ripen in the refrigerator (slower) or on the counter (faster). You’ll know when they’re ripe because they will be a bright yellow. They don’t get soft, but they will be juicy and sweet when they are ripe. Great for eating fresh, but because they are a firm pear, they also poach and bake well. Can keep about 4 weeks in your refrigerator.
