I am adding this determinate plum tomato for those of you who want to can or freeze tomato sauce. Determinate tomatoes set a large amount of fruit within a two or three week period which allows you to gather enough tomatoes to make a good batch of sauce. This hybrid variety produces large amounts of red tomatoes on a compact disease-resistant plant. Fedco says, “Its deep red sauce was smooth, meaty, with paste-y rich full flavor and a nice acid balance.” Buy two or three plants if you want to can large amounts.
